Some challenges we need your help solving
- Stability and Growth – You can help us prepare for rapid adoption, foster redundancy, increase security, build core functionality to meet business goals.
- Architecture and Roadmapping – You’ll help us integrate a new robust platform into ours. This will be a substantial portion of the team’s time.
- Our Engineering Future – While you will spend most of your time with the team in architecture, code reviews and strategic discussions, you will need to learn the ten year old codebase quickly, occasionally helping out in code as needed to keep velocity high and help the team achieve our goals. You will constantly help determine priorities, foster and deliver on realistic timelines and help the founders build a successful path forward for 2022 and beyond.
Your role
- As a coach, you’ll define and manage just enough processes to ensure the delivery of timely, high-quality product experiences. You’ll keep the rest of the org informed on deliverables. You’ll manage and grow (in every sense of the word) a diverse, world-class engineering team.
- As a technologist, you should have incredibly solid previous hands-on experience building complex SaaS applications for millions of users over the past several years. While the majority of your time will not be hands-on, you will need to engender trust on our experienced team that you can dig in and troubleshoot should the need arise. Ideal candidates could be 20% hands-on but this is not a requirement and total hands-on would reduce over time.
- You should have a deep understanding of computer science fundamentals like enterprise software architecture, design patterns, secure systems, and NoSQL databases.
- Our stack is Java and Javascript- you should have worked with Node, React, Angular and Java at some point in your career.
- Experience with mobile development in using iOS and Android applications is a bonus as is React Native experience.
- Strong understanding of cloud architecture like GCP (primary) and AWS
- Systems Engineering background including containerization with Docker and Kubernetes
- As a strategist, you’ll partner with the exec team. You’ll define and effectively communicate a long-term technical vision, and inspire the team and our partners around a shared vision for impact.

Compensation
We offer competitive salaries and benefits that include comprehensive health coverage, stock options, quarterly caregiver credits, and a wide variety of social team events.
The salary range for this role is highly competitive at $200,000 to $275,000 plus full benefits, a strong equity stake and generous PTO and holiday structure.
